At Sanpouen Koenji, we carry on the flavors of the long-established main restaurant “Sanpouen,” which has been loved by the local community for over half a century, delivering the same uncompromising taste to this day. Our Kuroge Wagyu is sourced through exclusive channels available only to select restaurants. Without being bound by origin or brand, the owner personally selects only meat that is truly exceptional in quality and flavor.

The signature “Fresh Tongue” and “Sanpouen Loin” are must-try dishes. The “Fresh Tongue” is sourced without ever being frozen, allowing its rich umami to spread the moment you take a bite, along with a pleasantly springy texture. The “Sanpouen Loin” offers a generous portion and a deeply satisfying flavor, with savory sauce perfectly coating the meat for a rich and fulfilling experience.

We also offer a wide variety of side dishes that pair perfectly with yakiniku. One highly recommended dish is the “Mixed Namul,” featuring a refreshing salt-based flavor with a pleasant kick of spice. Another popular choice is “Ganjang Shrimp,” made with exceptionally fresh shrimp marinated in our special sauce, offering rich umami and a delightfully plump texture. We offer lunch service on weekends. In addition to set meals, you can also order from the main menu, allowing you to add your favorite cuts of meat and fully enjoy yakiniku from midday.
